Katarzyna Lasfar is an experienced scholar with expertise in German and European Studies (Universities in Wroclaw/Poland and Leipzig/Germany), specializing in migration research. Her professional journey is marked by extensive experience in educational and language services. She has previously worked as a teacher at the Free Waldorf School in Leipzig and as a lecturer for Polish and German as a Foreign/Second Language in adult education in Leipzig and Berlin. Additionally, Katarzyna has established herself as a professional interpreter and translator for German and Polish.
Currently, Katarzyna works as the Regional Coordinator for Integration at the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) in Berlin. In this role, she acts as a supporter and key contact for actors and professionals in the integration process across various Berlin districts.
In addition to her professional responsibilities, Katarzyna is pursuing a part-time doctoral degree at the Europa-Universität Viadrina. Her research focuses on Polish migration in Frankfurt (Oder), reflecting her keen interest in interdisciplinary migration studies, cross-border dynamics, and cultural integration.
